BLACK MEN’S GROOMING - BEARD AND FACIAL HAIR
THE ART OF SHAVING // THE DO’S AND DON’T
Nurture and shape your most prized facial possession with styles and ingredients that help maintain beard and grooming.
To my fellow beards man, this topic is to help us get a better understanding and educate each other on Black Men Grooming.
WHAT BEARD CARE TO USE FOR BLACK MEN
Most of us don’t know what product to use when first trying to grow a beard. We find ourselves trying different type of beard care products out in the market and to notice toward the end that none of those products were specifically designed for Black Men.
Because us black men need extra moisture to keep our beards from becoming dull and fragile, it is crucial that we start using beard grooming products that hydrate our facial hair and skin.
COARSE HAIR. The diameter of coarse hair is the largest of all textures, which makes it more prone to moisture evaporation and dry ends. The best products to use are those that are labelled as 're-moisturizing', 'moisturizing' or 'smoothing' and those that tame frizz.
Unfortunately, most store bought beard wash or Shampoo actually dry out our skin and strip away our facial hair of necessary oils. We at Teddy Winston Brand recommend avoiding store bought soaps and synthetic shampoos. We preferably advise our consumers using natural and chemical free for beard washing and all-natural beard oils and beard balms for moisturizing and conditioning.
Please, refrain from using certain type of products. They don't work for our coarse hair.
